Adult Education / Connections & Fellowship:
- Bible Study Ministry – Help Facilitate a Regular Bible Study on a Weekday or Sunday Morning
- Fellowship Team – Assist in Preparing or Serving Food for Church Events, Funerals, and Church-Wide Worship Services
- Guest Gift Bag Assemblers/Drivers – Assemble Bags or Deliver Gift Bags for First Time Guests to RLC
- New Member Fellowship Partner - Help New Members Connect with Congregational Life and Community Volunteer Opportunities Through Several Follow Up Communications
- Resurrection Lutheran Men/Women – Help facilitate a Men’s or Women’s Group, such as Moms Together, Dads with Kids, etc.
- Small Group Ministry
- Wednesday Night Workshop Dinners
Care Ministries:
- Breadshare – Making and Delivering Meals for Families Who Are Homebound or Recovering from a Surgery or Procedure
- Crisis Care Ministry – Qualified Resources Experienced in the Areas of Social Work in North Carolina, Financial Advising, Employment, etc. (For Non-Members and Members in Need)
- Neighborhood Group/Community Facilitator – Support and Facilitate Community with other RLC Members Based on Your Address or Geographic Location
- Resurrection Prayer Community – Members Meet Weekly to Pray Specifically for Requests RLC Receives via Worship Services, Phone Calls, or Website
- Resurrection Service Project – Assist Elderly, Infirmed, Those in Financial Difficulty and Others in Our Congregation and Community with Home Maintenance and Repairs
- Stephen Ministry – Trained Lay Leaders Who Offer Confidential One-on-One Care to a Person in Need
Children and Family Ministries:
- Children’s Church – 20-minute Ministry for Children During the Sermon Time at the 11:00 am Service, Lessons and Supplies Provided
- K.I.C.K.S. and/or Kidz Live (Grades 3-5) – Assist with Events Behind the Scenes or In Person
- Nursery – Adult Volunteers and Youth (Ages 12+) Provide Childcare for Infants and Toddlers During Worship Services or Other Scheduled Church Events
- Rainbow Bags – Clean, Assemble, Sort Items - Supplies Provided
- Sunday School – Teaching or Helping Teachers on Sunday mornings, 9:15-10:45 am (Ages 3-10)
- Vacation Bible School – Teaching or Helping in Various Roles for VBS, Such as Snacks, Games, Crafts, etc.
Leadership Ministries:
- Church Council – 9-member Council Serving 2-year Terms in Leading the Congregation in Fulfilling Our Mission
Music Ministries:
- Music Ministry –
Vocalists and Instrumentalists Needed for a Variety of Choirs, Small Ensembles, and Bands for Both Traditional and Blended Praise Services
Vocalist - Solo/Small Ensemble; Vocalist - Choir/Praise Band
Handbell Choir; Instrument

Operational Support Ministries:
- Chair Team – Set Up and Tear Down of Worship Seating for the 11:00 am Worship Service
- Church/Grounds Maintenance – Skills of All Types Needed to Help with Regularly Scheduled or Special Projects Including Carpentry, Computer, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Roofing, Gardening, and Landscaping
- Counting – Count Church Offerings from Weekend Worship Services
RLC-Affiliated School Ministries:
- Resurrection Lutheran Preschool (2-5 year olds)
Resurrection Lutheran School (Junior Kindergarten-8th Grade)
Resurrection Music School (All Ages)
Serving or Participating in the Activities of the School in the Office, Classroom, or On a Board or Committee
Service to the Community Ministry Opportunities:
- Church Yard Sale – Help with Annual Event to Raise Funds for Local Charities, Youth Groups, Missions. etc.
- The Coffeehouse for Special Needs Adults – Monthly Social Event for Adults with Special Needs on the Second Friday of Each Month; Volunteers Set Up, Greet Guests, Serve Refreshments, and Clean up
- Habitat for Humanity – Volunteer as Part of a Team in Home Construction for Families in Need
- Human Care – Partnering with Several Local Agencies to Provide Support; Volunteers Needed for Year-Round Special Events and Collections
- Mission Team Outreach – Assist RLC in Bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ Across Boundaries of Language and Culture, Both in Our Own Community and Abroad
- Outreach to the Blind – Monthly Fellowship Dinner for Those Who are Blind or Visually Impaired; Volunteers Provide Transportation, Prepare and Serve Food to Guests, and Help Set Up and Clean Up
- Prayer Shawl Ministry – Make Shawls to Give to People in Need of Comfort
- Quilters – Make Handmade Quilts for Service Organizations, Sleep in Heavenly Peace and Lutheran World Relief
- Read A Book-Get A Book – Program Offering One-on-One Support to Boost Literacy in Public Schools
- Safe Families for Children – Creates Extended Family-Like Supports for Desperate Families Through Devoted Volunteers Who Are Motivated by Faith to Keep Children Safe and Families Intact
- Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Builds Beds for Families Who Do Not Have the Means to Provide Beds for Their Children
Worship Support Ministries:
- Altar/Sacristy Care – Caring for Altar Linens and Preparing for the Sacraments of Communion and Baptism, Maintain Care of Worship Assistant and Acolyte Robes
- Audio/Visual Team – Helping with Live Stream, Sound, Projection, Creating of Slides for Worship Services as a Live Stream Producer, Camera Operator, Sound Board Operator, Slide Technician, or Slide Creator
- Church Decorators – Decorating Worship Spaces for Holiday and Festivals
- Greeting – Greeting for Desired Worship Services, Sharing Information at Welcome/Information Centers
- Lay Readers – Read Appointed Lessons for the Day During Worship
- Prayer Teams – Trained Volunteers Meet with People with Specific Prayer Requests After Worship Services to Pray and Connect
- Ushers – Helping Greet and Serve People During Worship Service and Assist Any Guests
- Worship Assistant – Assist Serving Communion and Other Aspects of Managing Details of Worship
Youth Ministry:
- Mission Trip Adult Leader – Assist with Summer Week-Long Mission Trip or Event for Ignite (Grades 6-8) and/or Breakaway (Grades 9-12)
- Sunday School – Teaching or Helping Teachers on Sunday Mornings, 9:15-10:45 am, for Middle School and High School (Ages 11-18); Lessons and Materials Provided
- Youth Group Assistant – Assist with Different Events Whether Behind the Scenes or Hands-On, Working with Youth Leader, For Ignite (Grades 6-8) and/or Breakaway (Grades 9-12)
